Black Ministers Blast Elizabeth Warren's Apparent Abuse of Affirmative Action

Black Ministers Blast Elizabeth Warren's Apparent Abuse of Affirmative Action

When a liberal democrat in Massachusetts looses the support of black ministers there is a problem. A big one. Big as in "Houston, we have a problem." big.

Elizabeth Warren has that problem. But, is that her biggest problem? Maybe not. Let's say she wins the election and is sworn in as a United States Senator. A year later, some young aggressive federal prosecutor decides to make an effort to slow down the abuse of affirmative action scams and prosecute those making false claims to gain unlawful advantage. After all, for every incident there is a victim who did not gain the advantages intended by affirmative action policies and laws.

Those crimes generally occur when a perpetrator finds an organization that is willing to bend a few rules or turn a blind eye. Wink, wink, nod, nod. And, by bending those rules, those organizations gain additional funding, or rankings, or compliance levels as well.  These entities make EEOC filings for this very reason. And, I am sure there are consequences to filing false information.

And generally, prosecutors don't go looking for these problems within liberal bastions like Ivy League Law Schools. But if they did, could she get caught up in it? There sure has been enough publicity about it to make it hard to ignore. Maybe a quick peek behind the Ivy is warranted.

The Globe reports:

“It is within bounds to raise the question of whether or not a white woman used the minority card for her professional advantage,” said [Rev. Eugene F.] Rivers.
“Ancestry is not the issue,” Rivers added, saying that Warren’s handling of the controversy raises questions beyond her heritage. “Did you tell the truth? Because you marketed yourself as the good-guy, straight-shooting-populist, representing-poor-people candidate.”
“Affirmative action — that issue becomes important because it points to who you are,” added the Rev. Jeffrey Brown, executive director of the TenPoint Coalition, who pointed to an assertion that she is 1/32 Cherokee. “I’m thinking to myself, if I was 1/32 white, or of European descent, would I be able to put on an application that I was white? And if you look at a picture of me, you see what I’m talking about. The question is not a trivial one, or one that can just be dismissed as a Republican tactic. And I say this as someone who campaigned for Martha Coakley and I’m independent in terms of my political status.”
The controversy also gains steam because it involves Harvard — an elite institution that represents the intellectual capital of the country and, to conservatives, the center of liberal idealism.
“Harvard as an institution, as part of Massachusetts’ self-image, is colossal,” said [Republican analyst Todd] Domke. “Whether people want to joke about it, criticize it, or exalt it, it’s still bigger than this Senate race in terms of the whole reputation of the state. It won’t go away because of that — because people feel there’s something a little scandalous about Harvard claiming diversity with a woman who is, according to her family lore, 31/32 Caucasian.”

Possibly the worst thing that could happen to Elizabeth Warren would be winning the election.

Warts and All

Poll: Brown-Warren race a toss-up - POLITICO.com: From the Globe report:

Massachusetts is a political climate like no other. They are loyal to their liberals to a fault.

Elizabeth Warren is a flawed candidate. She has been exposed as less than truthful on many occasions when it has benefited her career path. Yet, the liberal base of Massachusetts won't give up on her no matter what is exposed during her vetting by the non-mainstream media. The mainstream media only vets Republican candidates. Especially ones from Massachusetts.

Just look at this quote below taken from the Boston Globe story linked above:
But there are signs that the controversy has wounded the first-time candidate, whose entrance into the race came with a star power that galvanized Democrats and catapulted the contest into one of the most closely watched in the nation.

The vast majority of voters (72 percent) said the issue would not affect their vote, but 31 percent of self-described independents — a critical voting bloc — said the issue makes them less likely to support Warren in November. The Harvard professor’s popularity has also risen one percentage point, to 48 percent, since the Globe polled in March, but the percentage of detractors has climbed more precipitously, by nine points to 32 percent.

What does it take in Massachusetts for the democrats to abandon a liberal? Apparently quite a bit. Voters always knew of and happily accepted, the many foibles of the Kennedy clan. No matter the seriousness of their many transgressions, voter loyalty seemed to increase from the adoring lemmings of the Commonwealth. After all, Camelot must go on.

But, history is grudgingly becoming less kind to the legacy of the Kennedy clan, or should I say tribe (Sorry. Couldn't resist. Get it Princess Pants on Fire fans?). Ten years ago you never heard open discussions about patriarch Joe Kennedy's rum running beginnings. And certainly they were not admitted as fact as they are today. As the scandalous rumors of the Camelot years become today's facts about the less than moral lives led by John F. Kennedy and his sidekick Teddy, the lack of journalistic integrity that kept the castle's secrets for a generation is also being exposed. In the Commonwealth, it takes time to face facts about their politicians.

Will Massachusetts really elect another flawed liberal Democrat United States Senator over an incumbent moderate to liberal Republican? We will find out in November. But, I am guessing they will. They always do in. Warts and all.

History is not as forgiving as the voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

MA Democrats: No Entry to Convention Without Photo ID

Where the hell is my helmet? It might be time for a tank ride again. Somebody just ran down the hall screaming " The 1/32  Indians are coming, the 1/32 Indians are coming.". And, I could have sworn I heard a lady singing O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A! Oklahoma, OK!

What is going on in Massachusetts?  Remember the signal, one if by merit and two if by claiming to be something you cannot prove.

And there they go suppressing the damn vote again. Call the DOJ! Eric, where are you when we need you man.

Yep, those rascally Republicans Democrats are at it again. Damn racists are requiring a photo ID to enter the Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Safety first, we don't want any illegal delegates voting at the Massachusetts Democratic Convention.

The only place in this country you don't need a photo ID to enter is a voting booth.

Slow Down People. It's Hard Keeping Up!

President Barack Obama and Vice President Jose...President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Liz Warren just won’t commit - BostonHerald.com

Thank goodness Joe Biden was put out to pasture this week because between Princess Pants on Fire and President Obama it is difficult keeping up with the fodder they keep spewing out. Between Obama slipping in the little secret about his sons and his insulting the people of Poland and still finding the time to confuse the NCAA with the NAACP during a ceremony at the White House. That was the same event at the White House where President Obama presented the Medal of Freedom to an avowed socialist. Things are hopping.

And who would have guessed that they keep the vital statistic of the number of nursing mothers that take the bar exam in New Jersey. Have to admit a weird curiosity about how they gather this data. Had I been familiar with this interesting data category, my first guess would have been that Elizabeth Warren was right up near the front of the line. What a talented Indian princess.

This poor lady needs a break. But it doesn't look like one is coming very soon. Both the Breitbart people and the Boston Herald smell blood. They are having so much fun that the Boston Globe is even testing the waters. And recently a large association of Native Americans have banded together and are beginning to exert some real pressure on behalf of the Cherokee Nation.

Give Ms Warren credit, she is staying on message without offering any proof. It takes a certain amount of moxie to pull this off on a daily basis. The problem with this tactic is that nobody, not even her allies, believe her any longer.

This Little "Indian" Is In Trouble

Elizabeth Warren: I told Harvard about my heritage - MJ Lee - POLITICO.com

Now this is really suspicious.  As reported in   The Boston Globe

The Democratic Massachusetts Senate candidate told the Boston Globe, “At some point after I was hired by them, I … provided that information to the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard.”

This is a very "lawyer-like" statement. Notice how she slips in the "some point after..." into the statement. This is done in an attempt to insulate her from being accused of abusing the minority claim she made on many occasions to gain advantage in hiring and to benefit from affirmative action hiring advantages. Records must exist at Harvard and Penn. They will bubble to the surface.

It appears that this little Indian has a problem with "misstatements".

Thump Thump, Thump Thump, Bus Backing Out Over The Cherokee Maiden

FORMER HARVARD ADMIN THROWS WARREN UNDER THE BUS

Finally, the administration at Harvard awoke and realized how big a mess Elizabeth Warren has created for them. It appears now they have put the bus in reverse and backed out slowly, but rolled over something rather pale on the way out. Thump thump.

The thing most notable in this deflowering of Elizabeth Warren, which she brought upon herself,  is that the Breitbart legacy has followed this fox all the way down the foxhole. This Breitbart.com story is somewhat of a hint as to where this is leading. They never loose the scent and they don't quit. And they are not afraid to go it alone where ever it leads.

These people are smart and never over-promise and under-deliver. There is more here, here. And they probably already have those stories prepared and ready to publish.

Earlier I commented to a post at Legal Insurrection wherein Professor Jacobson addressed his feeling that more unflattering information would be discovered. I feel much the same way. My comment asked the Professor if Ms Warren might be in personal legal jeopardy by her misrepresentations made on EEOC diversity compliance reports. Surely it can't be legal to misrepresent yourself as a member of a protected minority to gain a position. I will be curious to see if he addresses that issue.

You never know, this could lead to a guy from Hawaii misrepresenting himself as being of Kenyan or Indonesian descent to secure an affirmative action position at any Ivy League school. And that would be tragic.

Aloha!

Elizabeth Warren 'Woman of Color' Look At Those High Cheek Bones And Native Skin Tone

Elizabeth Warren has said on numerous occasions that her mother told her that she is part Cherokee, so she must be. And, no one seems terribly anxious to criticize her mother. So there. Let it be written! Make it so!

Unfortunately, no such decree is going to be the final word regarding the heritage of Elizabeth Warren. She played this card to her advantage for years, and now it is time to back up that apparent bluff. Show your cards.

The Lost Cherokee Tribe

Like Warren, Obama Claims Cherokee Ancestry--But Offers No Proof

Apparently there is a tribe of the Cherokee Nation that has only two living members to perpetuate the bloodline. Those remaining are Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, via Harvard Law and Barack Hussein Obama of Hawaii, via Kenya and Indonesia, and of course Harvard Law.

As Obama writes in his book, Dreams From My Father, and quoted from Breitbart.com below, again President Obama is the source for all that is mysterious about his past.
If asked, Toot [Obama’s maternal grandmother, Madelyne Payne Dunham] would turn her head in profile to show off her beaked nose, which, along with a pair of jet-black eyes, was offered as proof of Cherokee blood.
But an old, sepia toned photograph on the bookshelf spoke most eloquently of their [grandparents Stanley and Madelyne Dunham’s] roots.  It showed Toot’s grandparents, of Scottish and English stock, standing in front of a ramshackle homestead, unsmiling and dressed in coarse wool, their eyes squinting at the sun baked flinty life that stretched before them…in their eyes one could see truths that I would have to learn later as facts…that while one of my great-great grandfathers, Christopher Columbus Clark, had been a decorated Union soldier, his wife’s mother was rumored to have been a second cousin of Jefferson Davis…that although another distant ancestor had indeed been a full-blooded Cherokee, such lineage was a source of shame to Toot’s mother [Leona McCurry Payne] who blanched whenever someone mentioned the subject and hoped to carry the secret to her grave.

Barack Obama should be called the melting pot. He represents himself having bloodlines from the red Johnny Reb blood to Union Blue blue blood to deep scarlet Cherokee blood and even threw in a little mention of Christopher Columbus and several of the British Isles. How did he miss a George Washington cell or two?

It is a unique and rare duty and responsibility to perpetuate the endangered tribe.

And, this should be fodder for the curious minds of investigative journalists. Go get 'em.

A Tomato Good Enough for Elizabeth Warren

All this talk about Cherokee blood and heritage reminded me to look at my tomato plants.  Why you ask? Well, read a few paragraphs.

A friend and gardening enthusiast brought me a tomato plant earlier this spring. A research student who is a tenant of his, gave him several seedlings he had produced for a school project. So my friend shared his good fortune with me.

When he brought it over, the variety name escaped him. He promised to talk to his tenant and get the information and call me. But, he was quick to tell me that he was told it was a very special variety.

When a friend gives you a plant, you plant it. If for no other reason than you know he is coming back to check on it. After a few weeks he learned what variety it was from the student and passed along the variety name and some cultivation information.

As it grew and flowered most of the early blooms fell off before setting a single tomato, so I was not very excited about this plant. As it matured, blooms started to hold and tomatoes set nicely. And, like I knew he would, my friend came by to check it out. Surprisingly, he said my plant looked better than the two he planted. That shocked me. Gardeners usually lie more than fisherman.

So you might be wondering, why is this article about tomatoes and what is interesting and relevant to all this Native American and Cherokee talk lately? As it turned out, the variety of this particular tomato is Cherokee Purple, an heirloom variety.

This has got to be the variety Elizabeth Warren uses in her Pow Wow Chow recipes? Maybe with a little mayo on the side?

Here are some pictures taken earlier today.  And yes, they do have a little purple tint.

Shooting Decoys Is Tougher Than This

Did Elizabeth Warren Plagiarize Her 'Pow Wow Chow' Recipes?

Wow, not Pow Wow, or Pow Wow Chow, just wow.

I wrote recently at this link about how easy Elizabeth Warren was making it for her critics and opponents. Kind of like shooting ducks on a pond. But this is getting too close.

The problem with shooting ducks at such close range is that often times the targeted fowl are blown to smithereens. We don't want that to happen. This is too much fun. Shoot the decoys instead.

Could this highly educated and experienced woman be as shallow as this whole "I am a Native American" fiasco has exposed her to be? If so, she has nobody to blame but herself. From enhancing her resume to this possible plagiarizing incident, each wound has been self-inflicted.

Rest assured if she were a Republican candidate, there would be a huge throng of the liberal press gathering to gnaw the gristle off of her freshly picked bones. They would be asking questions like, "Did she commit a felony by misrepresenting her heritage to gain employment advantage?" and "Can she be trusted, after all it appears that she plagiarized submissions to a book?". Just a couple off the top of my head.

There seems to be no graceful escape for her from this mess. It would be smart for the Democrats to talk her into dropping out of this race to allow a less disgraced candidate to compete in the fall against Senator Scott Brown.

Anyone need a great decoy recipe?

‘Pow Wow’ factor: Elizabeth Warren touted native roots in ’84 cookbook - BostonHerald.com

This is like shooting ducks on a pond. Elizabeth Warren is way too quick to speak and much too slow to think to be an effective Senator.  Oh, I forgot about Joe Biden, sorry. But, "effective" eliminates him. Anyhow, you have to admit she is great fodder.

Talk about shovel ready. She even signed her recipes "Elizabeth Warren - Cherokee". Never has a politician been faster to dig a path to Hades than Elizabeth Warren.  If the Energy Department Gods would let us drill for oil, Exxon would probably swoop her up and put her to work.

There must be a secret handshake that Democrats perform in a ceremony while swearing to never back-track, admit an error or lie after "misspeaking". Isn't what the Dems are now calling the telling and retelling of things which are proven to be less than truthful.

Have you noticed how quiet Scott Brown has been lately? Completely out of the news. Well played Senator. Never interrupt your opponent's self-flagellation.

Equally as intriguing in this debacle is how apparently easy it is to become a minority for career advancement purposes in institutions of higher learning. Just check the box. Almost as easy as voting illegally.

Pow Wow Chow, Soft Moccasins and High Cheek Bones

7 Awful Moments From Elizabeth Warren's Native American Heritage Debacle

Between her pawpaw and Pow-Wow Chow Ms Warren has used up all the w's in Massachusetts.

Her continuing trial by fire proves that she is absolutely qualified to be a Democratic United States Senator from Massachusetts. Kennedyesque.

If you can pull off these embarrassingly uncomfortable moments without being run out of town on a rail, you are fully prepared for a life in politics.

The cook book was the cat's meow for me. That was delicious. Imagine being in a staff meeting when it was decided to walk that dog around the block. That took guts. Well done Lizzie.

In the figure above of the State Seal of Massachusetts, do you see what I see? Could this be a distant relative. He definitely has those famous high cheek bones. Genealogists should jump right on this. I bet Dan Rather could "discover" a few missing documents to weave this whole story into a nice neat package.

You go girl. Put on those moccasins and hit the campaign trail!

Warren: 'I'm proud of my Native American heritage' [VIDEO] | The Daily Caller

Elizabeth Warren may or may not be an American Indian but she is one hell of a hole digger.

Someone on her team should slowly and carefully remove the shovel from her possibly Native American hands and gently lift her out of the hole. The hole is getting deeper and Elizabeth Warren is not in any mood to back fill.

“You know, I’m proud of my Native American heritage,” Warren said. “I’m proud of my family. It’s now the case that people have gone over my college records, my law school records, every job I’ve ever had to see that I got my work. I got my jobs because I do my work. I work hard. I’ve been a good teacher.”
Did you notice there was no mention of people going over her genealogical records? Maybe it was an oversight. The cookbook reference was solid.

Can you imagine the outrage had a Republican candidate made a claim of Native American status possibly used for career advancement through major law schools, and yet the claim remains unverified by any reputable genealogist? Very little chirping. Silence of the crickets.

And, about people going over college records, law school record and such.  That sounds reasonable.  I can only think of one exception to this very good idea.

Oops! She did it again. The gift that keeps on giving.

Just imagine how intelligent you must be to perpetuate this family lore under the sunshine of an interested press.

Might take someone as special as a Harvard Law professor with high cheekbones.

Thank goodness the press never got interested in spreading sunshine on a certain Harvard Law student.
